The Beautiful Garden

There was once a garden unlike any other.

It was not the largest garden in the world.

Nor was it the richest.

But it was beautiful in a way that made people stop and forget where they were going.

The garden stretched across a peaceful valley surrounded by tall green hills. A small crystal-clear stream curved around its edges, reflecting the blue sky during the day and the silver moon at night.

Every corner of the garden was alive.

Tulips grew beside lilies.

Sunflowers stood proudly beneath the morning sun.

Lavender covered entire patches of land with purple waves.

Daisies danced whenever the wind passed through them.

Jasmine filled the evenings with a sweet fragrance.

And roses of countless colors bloomed everywhere.

Red.

Pink.

Yellow.

Orange.

Purple.

Even roses with unusual shades that couldn't easily be described.

Every flower had its own personality.

Some were loud.

Some were shy.

Some were proud.

Some were kind.

And some preferred to spend their days quietly watching the world around them.

But among all those flowers, there were two that everyone knew.

Two roses who were almost never seen apart.

A White Rose.

And a Blue Rose.

They had been growing in the same part of the garden for as long as they could remember.

Nobody remembered exactly when they had become friends.

Perhaps it had happened when they were young buds.

Perhaps it had happened when the first spring rain touched their petals.

Or perhaps their friendship had simply been written into the soil beneath them.

Whatever the reason...

They were inseparable.

White Rose was gentle.

She had soft white petals that seemed to glow whenever sunlight touched them.

She was thoughtful, patient, and often put everyone else's happiness before her own.

She loved listening.

Whenever another flower had a problem, White Rose was the one they went to.

But there was one flower who knew her better than anyone.

Blue Rose.

Blue Rose was different.

Her petals carried a deep, beautiful shade of blue, like the evening sky just before the stars appeared.

She was more outspoken than White Rose.

More energetic.

More emotional.

And sometimes, much more stubborn.

But whenever Blue Rose became too stubborn, White Rose was there to calm her down.

And whenever White Rose became too quiet, Blue Rose was there to make her laugh.

They balanced each other perfectly.

If White Rose was the calm morning...

Blue Rose was the colorful evening.

If White Rose thought too much...

Blue Rose acted too quickly.

And somehow, they always met somewhere in the middle.

They were more than friends.

They were sisters.

Not because they shared the same roots.

But because they had chosen each other.

Every morning, the first thing Blue Rose did was look for White Rose.

"You're late."

White Rose slowly opened her petals.

"Late for what?"

"For our morning conversation."

White Rose smiled.

"We've had the same conversation every morning for years."

"Exactly."

Blue Rose sounded offended.

"And you still haven't learned that I'm always right."

White Rose laughed softly.

"You're never right."

"I am."

"No."

"I am."

"No."

"Fine."

Blue Rose turned away dramatically.

"I don't want to talk to you anymore."

White Rose waited.

One second.

Two seconds.

Three.

Blue Rose turned back.

"So, what are we having for breakfast?"

White Rose burst into laughter.

This was their routine.

Every morning.

Every afternoon.

Every evening.

They talked about everything.

The weather.

The other flowers.

Their dreams.

Their fears.

Their ridiculous little arguments.

Their future.

Sometimes they even talked about things that made no sense at all.

And neither of them cared.

Because they were together.

One afternoon, the two roses rested beneath the shade of an old flowering tree.

The garden was unusually quiet.

A gentle breeze moved through the grass.

Blue Rose stared at the clouds.

"What do you think is beyond this garden?"

White Rose looked at her.

"What do you mean?"

"Outside."

Blue Rose lifted her petals toward the distant hills.

"Do you think there's another garden?"

"Probably."

"Do you think there are flowers like us?"

"Probably."

"Do you think we'll ever leave?"

White Rose smiled.

"Why would I leave?"

Blue Rose turned toward her.

"Maybe because something better is waiting somewhere else."

White Rose shook her head.

"I already have everything I need."

Blue Rose smiled.

"Everything?"

White Rose nodded.

"You."

For once, Blue Rose had nothing sarcastic to say.

She simply moved closer to her friend.

"Promise me something."

"What?"

"No matter what happens..."

Blue Rose paused.

"...we'll always be together."

White Rose looked at her.

The promise sounded simple.

Almost childish.

But she meant it.

"I promise."

Blue Rose smiled.

"So do I."

Neither of them knew how important that promise would become.

Neither knew that one day, they would both wish they could return to this exact moment.

Before jealousy.

Before heartbreak.

Before love complicated everything.

Before one flower entered their lives and changed their garden forever.

As evening approached, the garden began to glow beneath the golden sunlight.

The flowers swayed gently.

Birds flew across the sky.

The stream reflected the orange and pink colors of sunset.

White Rose and Blue Rose stood together near the center of the garden.

Everything was peaceful.

Everything was familiar.

Everything was exactly as it had always been.

Until suddenly...

A strange breeze swept through the garden.

The flowers stopped moving.

The birds became silent.

Even the stream seemed quieter.

Blue Rose looked around.

"What was that?"

White Rose frowned.

"I don't know."

Then came the sound of footsteps.

Slow.

Unhurried.

Approaching from the garden entrance.

Both roses turned toward the sound.

A shadow appeared between the tall flowers.

Then another step.

And another.

A new flower entered the garden.

His petals were darker than anything they had ever seen.

Almost black.

Elegant.

Mysterious.

Beautiful in a way that was impossible to ignore.

A Black Dahlia.

He stopped at the entrance and looked around the unfamiliar garden.

Then his eyes moved across the flowers.

Until they stopped.

On White Rose.

Then Blue Rose.

A small smile appeared on his face.

Blue Rose whispered,

"Who is that?"

White Rose didn't answer.

She couldn't.

For some strange reason...

She couldn't look away.

Black Dahlia slowly walked deeper into the garden.

And with every step he took...

The peaceful life of two roses began moving toward something neither of them could have imagined.

Neither White Rose nor Blue Rose knew it yet.

But the day Black Dahlia entered their garden...

Was the day their beautiful friendship began its journey toward becoming a beautiful tragedy.

And sometimes...

The most beautiful flowers are the ones that leave the deepest scars.

To be continued...
